FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is the villa located?

Our Villa Overview page contains more details on the area of Rotonda.

How private is the villa?
The beauty of this villa is the fact that it’s detached; it backs on to a wide waterway/canal; and it’s built on an oversized plot. All of which guarantee great space, privacy and peace and quiet.

How many people can stay in the villa?
The maximum number of people that can stay in the villa is 6.

Only people who you have listed on your Booking Enquiry Form are permitted to stay at the villa.  If you need to amend your guest list prior to arrival, you will need to contact us directly to obtain permission.  Any changes are subject to an administration fee.

Do you provide Internet access?
Yes, we provide wireless internet access FREE OF CHARGE. 

This means you will be able to access the internet/your emails from anywhere in the villa however you will need to bring your own lap-top.  Instructions will be provided on how to access this.

Do you provide free phone calls?
Yes, local calls as well as calls to the USA & Canada are FREE OF CHARGE.

For any other calls, you will need to purchase a phone card from the local supermarket.

Is the villa suitable for children?
Absolutely! Having 2 children of our own, it's easy for us to highlight the benefits of staying with children in our villa:-

  • The villa benefits from being on one level hence, no stairs.
  • It has a lockable child safety barrier surrounding the pool and the whole pool area is located within the screen which means access to the garden and canal area is only possible via 2 doors.
  • The shallow end of the pool is only 3ft which makes it a lot easier for little children. Large front and back garden making it an ideal area where children can play.
  • Bring your own DVDs to play on our multi-region DVD player and keep your kids amused.
  • The twin beds are great for kids too.
  • Nightlights to ensure comfort in the dark.
  • The local park is only 2 mins away from the villa and has a good playground area with lots of swings/climbing equipment, bike trails, multi-purpose fields open space, nature preserve, nature trails, picnic area, tennis courts, toilets.
  • For an exciting day out Busch Gardens theme park is only 90 mins away and further afield Disney is approx 2.5 hours away.

Extra caution should be applied at all times near to the canal and on the fishing dock as well as the pool area.

Can we hire children's equipment locally?
Yes, if you don't want the hassle of travelling with the large and often bulky baby items and would like to hire them locally then we have a local company we use called Cribs To Go.  Their website details all the products that can be hired along with the prices. You will need to add a small surcharge for delivery and pick-up.

How do I check the Availability of the villa?
Check our Availability Calendar which is updated on a regular basis.

How do I make a reservation/what is the booking process?
Step one:

Check the Availability Calendar to see if the villa is vacant for the dates you require.
Step Two:

If it’s vacant and you wish to make an enquiry/obtain a quote for your stay, please first read our Terms and Conditions and then complete the Enquiry form
Step Three:

Once your Enquiry form has been received, we provide you with a quote for your stay and detail any extras that you have requested/you will be charged for.  If you are happy to proceed and your holiday is more than 10 weeks away, we will write to you and ask you to pay the initial non-refundable deposit and sign and return our Terms & Conditions.  If your holiday is less than 10 weeks away, we will require full payment upfront plus a signed copy of our Terms & Conditions.
Step Four:

Once we are in receipt of all of the above, we will confirm your reservation.

Step Five: 

The balance, along with the Security Deposit is due 10 weeks prior to your departure.

Please note! Reservations will be held for 3 days, pending receipt of the deposit and Booking Form.

How do we pay for the holiday?

What if I need to cancel my holiday?

What time can we arrive/depart?

How does the Security Deposit work?

What happens if we have a problem?

Prior to setting off on your holiday, you will be provided with all the main contact details for our local Villa Representative for any major problems you may have.

Is the pool heated?
Yes the pool can be electrically heated for an extra charge. It’s totally dependent on personal choice however we recommend heating during the months October through to March.

Is there a maid service?
No, this villa is self catering. The home will be clean upon your arrival and will be cleaned again once you leave.

If you are renting the villa for a long-term stay then a mid-term clean/freshen up can be arranged if required.

The villa is equipped with a washer, dryer, dishwasher, iron, vacuum cleaner and mop should you wish to use them.

What’s the weather like?

Do I need to bring my own towels?
All bathroom towels and provided however you may wish to bring or purchase additional pool/beach towels if you require them.

Does the villa have cable TV?
Yes the villa has the basic cable package which has approximately 70 to choose from.

Do you allow smoking?
We DO NOT allow smoking and operate a very strict no-smoking policy throughout the villa, the lanai and pool. Any evidence of any guests smoking will be taken very seriously and will result in the guest being charged for a full villa clean plus forfeiting the return of their security deposit.

Do you allow pets/small animals?
We DO NOT allow any pets or small animals with the exception of Guide Dogs. Any evidence of guests having pets in the house will be taken very seriously and will result in the guest being charged for a full villa clean forfeiting the return of their security deposit.

How far away from the villa is everything?

Our Location section will provide more details.

Can we hire bikes locally?
Yes, bikes can be hired locally at 'Bikes & Boards' 966 S McCall Road, Englewood (941-474-2019).

What extras do I have to pay for?

Do you offer any incentives if we recommend your villa to our friends/family?  Also, if we are returning Guests do you offer any incentives?
Yes to both questions! As a thank you for any referred or repeat business we offer 2 incentive schemes which are unique to our villa:-
